2022 Mt Hagen Festival

SUMMARY – 5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS
1 night - Gateway Hotel, Port Moresby
3 nights - Kuri lodge, Mount Hagen
Thursday 18 August
Upon arrival at the Jackson’s Airport in Port Moresby, you will meet/greet with our staff and be assisted to your hotel as scheduled.
Overnight: Gateway Hotel (--D)
Friday 19 August
After breakfast, you will be picked up by our staff and transferred to the airport for your morning flight to Mount Hagen.
At Kagamuga Airport, our staff in Mount Hagen will meet/greet and transfer you to the hotel as scheduled. Check-in at the hotel with lunch and then proceed with half day sightseeing tour around the city, including a visit to our main market, if time permits. After the short tour, you will transfer back to your hotel.
Overnight: Kuri Lodge (-LD)
Saturday 20 August
On the first day after breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver and guide from your lodge to the show grounds to see how the preparation of body decorations and face paintings are done outside the show arena. You will then proceed to the show ground to see how the different tribes throughout Papua New Guinea get together to display their different and unique cultures and traditions.
After the show, continue with a scenic tour of Mt. Hagen city and the surrounding villages. Retrun to the lodge after the show.

Sunday 21 August
On the second day after breakfast, you will be picked up by our driver and guide from the lodge to the show grounds to see how the preparation of body decorations and face paintings are done outside the show arena. You will then proceed to the main show ground to see how the different tribes throughout Papua New Guinea get together to display their different and unique cultures and traditions.
After the show, continue with a scenic tour of Mt. Hagen and the surrounding villages. Return to lodge after the show.
Overnight: Kuri Lodge (BLD)
Monday 22 August
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kagamuga Airport for your flight to Port Moresby. Upon arrival in Port Moresby, you will transit over to the International terminal for your flight back home. (B--)

(Note we will require a non-refundable deposit of US$200.00 per person to secure rooms at Pacific Garden Hotel. The festival period is a peak period therefore this non-refundable is required to secure spaces and to avoid any inconvenience for late booking. The non-refundable deposit will be adjusted against their final invoice)
